Calculating Your Event Needs
To choose the right plan, estimate your monthly event volume:
What Counts as an Event?
Every tracking call counts as one event, regardless of how many platforms it's sent to:
- Page views (ViewContent events)
- Add to cart actions
- Checkout initiations
- Purchases/Conversions
- Custom events
- All other tracking events
Example: If you send a Purchase event that goes to Facebook, TikTok, and GA4, it counts as 1 event, not 3.
Estimating Your Monthly Volume
Use this formula to estimate:
Monthly Events = Daily Visitors × Events Per Visitor × 30 Days
Example Calculation:
- 10,000 daily visitors
- Average 5 events per visitor (page views, add to cart, purchases, etc.)
- 10,000 × 5 × 30 = 1,500,000 events/month
- Recommended Plan: Business Plan (2,000,000 events) or Growth Plan (1,000,000) with monitoring
