Understanding Event Limits and Usage

Last updated: January 30, 2026 • 4 min read

Learn how event limits work, how to monitor your usage, what happens when you approach your limit, and how to upgrade if needed.

Introduction

The Event Logs Dashboard is your central hub for monitoring and analyzing all tracking events in real-time. This guide covers how to use the event logs to troubleshoot issues, verify event delivery, and analyze tracking performance.

Accessing Event Logs

  • Log in to your ServerTrack dashboard
  • Select your Server Deck
  • Navigate to "Event Logs" or "Logs" section
  • You'll see a table listing all events

Log Table Overview

The event log table displays:

  • Event Name: The type of event (Purchase, AddToCart, ViewContent, etc.)
  • Event ID: Unique identifier for the event
  • Status: Current status (success, failed, pending, blocked, queued)
  • Platforms: Delivery status for Facebook, TikTok, GA4
  • Response Message: Summary of event processing result
  • Source URL: The webpage URL where the event was triggered
  • Created At: Timestamp when event was received

Filtering Events

The event logs support multiple filtering options:

  • Filter by status (All, Success, Failed, Pending, Blocked, Queued)
  • Filter by event name (Purchase, AddToCart, etc.)
  • Filter by date range
  • Search by Event ID, transaction_id, or other parameters

Viewing Event Details

Click on any event row to view detailed information including event payload, platform delivery status, and debug information.

Understanding Event Statuses

Success

Event was successfully processed and delivered to all configured platforms.

Failed

Event failed to deliver to one or more platforms. Check error messages and platform credentials.

Pending

Event is queued and waiting to be processed. Usually processes within 10-30 seconds.

Blocked

Event was blocked due to server paused, limit exceeded, validation errors, or invalid authentication key.

Exporting Event Logs

You can export event logs as CSV for analysis. Apply filters if needed, then click "Export" or "Download CSV".

Best Practices

  • Monitor logs daily to catch issues early
  • Filter by Failed to review failed events regularly
  • Export logs for deeper analysis
  • Compare platform delivery statuses

Summary

The Event Logs Dashboard is essential for monitoring event delivery, troubleshooting failed events, analyzing tracking performance, and verifying events are being sent correctly.
