Introduction
Your Server Deck is the foundation of your server-side tracking setup. It's where you configure your tracking domain, connect your marketing platforms, and manage all your tracking settings. This guide will walk you through creating your first Server Deck step by step.
What is a Server Deck?
A Server Deck is essentially your tracking server configuration. Each Server Deck includes:
- A unique authentication key for secure event tracking
- A custom tracking domain (subdomain of your website)
- Platform integrations (Facebook CAPI, TikTok ePIG, GA4)
- Event limits and usage tracking based on your plan
- Analytics and logs for monitoring your events
Step 1: Choose Your Plan
Before creating a Server Deck, you'll need to select a plan that fits your needs. ServerTrack offers several plans:
| Plan | Event Limit | Features |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 10,000/month | Facebook CAPI only |
| Starter | 500,000/month | All platforms |
| Growth | 1,000,000/month | All platforms |
You can always upgrade or downgrade your plan later as your needs change.
Step 2: Create Your Server Deck
- Log in to your ServerTrack dashboard
- Click the "Create Server Deck" button (usually located at the top of the dashboard)
- You'll be prompted to select a plan if you haven't already
- Fill in the required information:
- Business Name: A descriptive name for this Server Deck (e.g., "My E-commerce Store")
- Plan: Select the plan that matches your event volume needs
- Click "Create Server Deck"
Note: You can create multiple Server Decks if you need to track multiple websites or businesses separately. Each Server Deck has its own authentication key and tracking domain.
Step 3: Understanding Your Server Deck Dashboard
Once created, you'll see your Server Deck dashboard with several key sections:
Overview Section
- Status: Shows if your server is Active, Paused, or Inactive
- Usage: Current event count vs your plan limit
- Authentication Key: Your unique key for tracking (keep this secure!)
- Tracking Domain: Your custom subdomain (e.g., data.yoursite.com)
Configuration Tabs
- Domain Configuration: Set up your custom tracking domain
- Facebook CAPI: Connect your Facebook Pixel and Access Token
- TikTok ePIG: Configure TikTok Pixel integration
- GA4: Set up Google Analytics 4 integration

After creating your Server Deck, the typical workflow is:
- Configure your custom domain (add DNS A record)
- Verify your domain in ServerTrack
